Richard's obituary
Richard Wheeler, 79, of Long Beach, CA, passed away on January 14, 2024. He was born on March 24, 1944, in Hawaii where his father was stationed in the Navy. They moved to Long Beach a few years later.
Richard is survived by his wife, Nancy; children: Richard, David, Mary, Rena, Anna, and Rachelle; 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 3 brothers. He is predeceased by his father Alec; mother Emily, brother Chuck, and daughter Lisa.
He was a great dad, husband, friend and grandpa “Papa”. He went to Catholic church regularly. He enjoyed Jazz music, sci-fi movies and true crime. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held to honor his life and legacy. May his soul rest in peace.
