Background

Richard's father was a cofounder of this land trust that conserves, for public benefit, coastal property on the Mendocino-Sonoma Coast. Both his parents were active in this organization that Richard and his siblings continue to support as vital for future generations' access and protection of coastal ecosystems. Richard loved to visit the beaches and nearby forest of the Mendonoma Coast with his beloved family.

In 2020 the RCLC acquired key parcels to create the Gualala River Mill Bend Conservation Project that will preserve and restore terrestrial, littoral and riverine habitats, provide access, and connect sections of the CA Coastal Trail.
