Background
Richard was more than just a father; he was my rock, my mentor, and my best friend. He dedicated his life to ensuring that I always came first, despite the many struggles he faced. His love and sacrifice shaped me into the man and father I am today. Towards the end of his life, Richard faced numerous health issues and was on a fixed income from disability. Despite these challenges, he remained optimistic and did his best to make others happy. He was deeply cherished by my mother and step-father, who were his best friends and provided care for him in his final days. His two grandchildren will miss him, as will many others whose lives he will leave a lasting impression on.
As we navigate this heartbreaking time, we are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for support. We are organizing this fundraiser to help cover the costs of a memorial service that will honor Richard's memory and celebrate his incredible life. Additionally, we need assistance with the unexpected expenses that come with his untimely passing.
Your generous contributions will help us give Richard the memorial he deserves, where we can gather to share our memories, grieve together, and celebrate his life. Any remaining funds will go towards supporting our families as we cope with this immense loss and find a way forward without his light and his contributions to everyday life.
We are planning to hold a celebration of life for my father's birthday on September 29th. This will be after his service at the Paradise Garden's Cemetery, to be determined. I will provide more information as it becomes available.
