It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Capt. Richard "Mondo" Sweet, who left this world on April 14, 2023. Born on May 12, 1984, Richard, also fondly known as Mondo, was a cherished figure who was celebrated for his loving personality, thoughtful nature, and unique sense of humor. His legacy of kindness will continue to inspire everyone who knew him. He truly was a unique soul, and life will never be the same without him.

Richard was looking forward to starting his new career as a Captain, an achievement he was immensely proud of, having obtained his License in September 2022.

His accomplishments were many, but his most significant achievement was the positive impact he had on those around him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Stormy Hough, Father Alan Sweet, Dad Bill Hough, brothers James and William Jr. who has been left with countless precious memories His loss has left a void in thier life's that will never be filled, but his spirit and memory will live on.

In honoring Richard's life, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made towards "Saving Grace and Her Furry Friends". This was a cause close to Richard's heart, and he would be grateful to know his legacy supports the well-being of those he cared so deeply about.
