Dear Kelly

My name is Jesse. You father was a great role model to me. I worked with him at the hospital and attended his weekly men's meetings. He was so patient and kind I never heard him say a cross word about anyone except the boss at work, when he thought he was picking on him. But who doesn't complain about work. He continually brought people together. Through is humble spirit or icebreaking big laugh. Talking sports with Rick was so much fun. His true thoughts and talks where always about God and Kelly and his grandchildren though, and how important it was to be a part of your lives. And how Grateful he was to have the opportunity to do so.

Best memory of Big Rick

All of them!

But going with him to the 2013 Red Sox  world series parade with him and my very pregnant wife. It was the year of the Boston bombing. We where there holding up a big sign it took the two of us to hold up. The people in back of us where complaining about it till we turned it around. It read "this is our city!" Then they nodded their heads in agreement.

His favorite bible verse

Psalms 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not unto your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.

We are grateful for his gentle, dedicated ways and his love for our kids. Our hearts and our prayers for God's peace, and our thankfulness for a life well lived, go out to you all.

I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Rick.
He was one of the most wonderful genuine people I’ve ever met.
I was fortunate enough to meet Rick at his last job before his retirement.
He was the guy who made everyone in our department laugh every day.
I’m truly blessed to have called him a friend.
He was so thrilled to retire and move closer to his family.
He will be missed.

Your Dad was an amazing guy, Kelly. My boys loved him. Rick will leave a big gap here on earth with so many saddened over his passing. My heart, though, goes out to you, Kelly. I'll never forget when we were all at FBC, what a sweet, fun and loving relationship you and your Dad had. I pray for our Lord's healing and soothing spirit to be so present with you in the days, months, years to come. I am so sorry for the loss, too, for your children that they won't have him to enjoy for years to come. Know that I will continue to lift you all in prayer before the Throne and our loving, caring Jesus . . . - Dawn
I can’t believe he’s gone. What an amazing father, grandfather, friend and “Uncle Rick” to dozens of youth❤️ He will be so missed but I’m so happy he is with his savior now.

I remember Rick as a solid, quiet staple in Kelly's life. Always there as a stable rock and foundation for Kelly. His absence is a great loss for this world.
