Richard Lynn Robertson, of Abbottstown, PA, passed away on November 30, 2024, at York Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 29, 1945, to Clyde and Edith (Steele) Robertson in Meyersdale, PA.

Richard attended high school in Salisbury, PA, and proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War, stationed at N.A.S Lemoore. After his service, he worked for Precision Components Corporation in York until his retirement. Not one to sit idle, Richard then started his own construction company to keep himself busy.

An avid outdoorsman, Richard had a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. He cherished the time spent in nature and shared his love for the outdoors with his family and friends.

In 1970, Richard married Gail (Rodman), and together they built a beautiful life. He is survived by his brother Don Robertson of York, his two children, James Robertson and his wife Mamie (Drago) of Hanover, PA, and Dawn Robertson Sizer and her husband David of Boiling Springs, PA. Richard was a proud grandfather to Adam and his wife Danielle of Lancaster, PA, Christa and Manny Walls of York, PA, and Logan and Connor Sizer of Boiling Springs. He was also a doting great grandfather to Ellie.

In accordance with Richard’s wishes, a celebration of his life will be held in the spring, where family and friends can gather to honor his memory and share their cherished stories.
