Rick’s journey started with prostate cancer. Over the last 3 months he developed a secondary condition called DIC ( disseminated intravascular coagulation) this was caused by the cancer. Over the course of the month of December and January he developed two hemorrhage’s requiring two different surgery’s to relieve the pressure on his brain. The last one caused his midline shift to shift to the left. Resulting in burrowing two holes into the skull.
Rick required 24/7 care leading me to take a leave of absent from my job. Our savings has been depleted on attempting to continue to keep our home paid along with our monthly utilities. Rick was released from the hospital which was a hour and half away one week prior to his passing with hospice. Rick passed on January 23, 2003. Myself and my family are seeking assistance through this difficult time to aid in helping with incoming medical bills along with lost wages during this time.
