Richard W. Razumny, 32, passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2023, surrounded by love at Care Dimensions Hospice House, after a long journey with ALS.

Rich’s energy has been returned to the world and is wrapping those he held dear, in love, most notably his wife, Leah Devereaux and their two children, Arthur and Maeve Razumny. Leah and Rich shared 11 years together, and had just celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary on October 22nd. Rich was beyond devoted to his wife and children and did all he could to be the best partner and dad he could.

He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Devereaux, with whom he’d never miss a morning cup of coffee. He is survived by his wife Leah, his children, Arthur and Maeve, his beloved dog, Maple, father-in-law, Arthur Devereaux, sister-in-law, Lauren (Ed Proctor) Devereaux, his brothers James (Rebecca) Razumny and Joseph (Kristen) Razumny, and parents, Richard and Patricia (Harrison) Razumny, along with 4 nephews, one of which was his godson.

Rich certainly made a mark on this world. He was an artist of many forms, including music, various art styles, and even in the kitchen with homemade bread, smoked meat, and any dish that Leah was craving. Food was his genuine love language, and he took immense pride in the meals he prepared. He was often seen playing guitar for his family and holding chords while his kids took turns strumming. He loved a good book, especially science fiction and fantasy. Board games were a favorite hobby, which he was able to share with so many friends and family members. Most recently, Rich set up a monthly Dungeons and Dragons group at his home, where he was able to strengthen friendships new and old.

Rich was a lover of all things nature. He fondly remembers many hikes, especially those with their dog Maple and his son in a backpack carrier. He took any opportunity he could, year round, to head towards nature. Whether it was camping at Hermit Island in Maine or the Devereaux Cottage and hiking a mountain in New Hampshire, he would be there. He proudly earned his Eagle Scout with Troop 61 and was very excited to get his children involved in BSA Troop 194, in their hometown of Bedford.

Rich always had a great sense of humor, and was quick with a punchline. As a loyal friend, he was always there to listen and offer advice when needed. His sensitivity to the needs of those around him, paired with his extraordinary kindness and patience, endeared him to all. In his professional life, Rich was a dedicated worker and an accomplished manager in the IT field. He is deeply missed by numerous friends and family members.
