He was an auto body man for most of his life, working at Queen Anne Auto body in Seattle washington. When the owner decided to sell his eldest son bought it, and kept his fad on as an employee. Queen Anne is where Richard retired from.
He met Shirley Grinnell in 1978 they were married in1981. Richard was a joker, always coming up with a new joke, most were terrible.
He loved going to car shows, and camping, and his family.
The last year of his life was not pleasant one, in and out of hospitals, being away from the love of his life.
Richard is survived by his wife Shirley Rasmussen, Brother Phil Rasmussen,
Sons Steve, and Kenny Rasmussen,
Daughter Cyndi Mathews, step Daughters Debbie Jacobson, Karen Grinnell, step sons Tom, and Fred Grinnell. Along with many grand children, great grand children, and great great grand children.
And many friends old , and new.
