Richard (Dad) loved spending his free time hunting, fishing, camping and boating with his family and friends.

His passion was restoring vintage Cars and Trucks and working around his 3 ⅓ acre hobby farm in Colton Oregon.

Richard was known in the neighborhood for helping out any neighbor in need.

Richard Ralph Matney was born on August 29th, 1931

to Tyre and Effie Matney. He was 1 of 5 boys.

He is survived by his son Rick, his daughter Carrie, his brother Robert, his half-sister Linda , Ricks Children & grandchildren

and

Carries Children,Grandchildren

and his beloved lab Holly.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edna, 1st wife Jean, Brothers Ted, Doug, and Ron.

Richard was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Before Richard’s passing he had been hospitalized at Mt. Hood Legacy Hospital for 2 weeks and passed due to a secondary infection and complications of pneumonia.

Richard will be incredibly

but he will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
