Richard Walter Paulsen (“Rick”) passed away on March 13, 2022 at the age of 78, in Pahrump, Nevada. Born in San Pedro, California on August 22, 1943, he is survived by his beautiful wife of 30 years, Pamela, his son, Richard (“Rick”), his two daughters, Danielle and Nicole, and his four grandsons and four granddaughters. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce, his brother, Robert (“Rocky”), several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Rick was an avid sports lover, who played several sports during his younger years. After high school, he served in the Army Reserves, and then attended community college. Rick was a proud Union man as he was a part of the Teamsters Local and ILWU - Local 13 which is where he worked until his retirement in 2012. Some of Rick’s favorite pastimes were bowling and gambling in Las Vegas. Rick was a very loved and respected man, had a wonderful smile that matched his kind soul, and will be greatly missed by so many.

Rick’s Celebration of Life will be on August 20, 2022. There will a private ash scattering ceremony at sea with his family and close friends only. A reception will follow at the San Pedro Elks Club Lodge, by invite only as space is limited.  Please message for more details.
