Hi Carol, Cecilia told me about Rich’s passing.
First, she asked me if I remembered Rich. I said, of course I do.
Carol, once you meet a family like yours; you, Rich, the kids; a family that is fun, pleasant, generous and loving, then you never forget them.
And Rich was certainly hard to forget. I can’t remember a time when he wasn’t smiling and joyful. He was just loving his life, his wife, his family and his friends.
When Cecilia told me about Rich I was shaken into speechlessness. I just couldn’t process what she was saying.
Carol, I am so sorry for Rich’s passing. This must have been such a shock to you and the kids. I pray that you have good family support that can surround you and the kids with love

Carol I cannot imagine your grief. I did not know Rich but from his obituary I wish I had. Praying for happy memories 🙏

I brought Rich to ITI where a lot of us got to know him even better. He worked with my wife at SPRINT.
He was a great guy. He will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Carol, Annie, Emily and Drew! We are soooo very sorry that you lost your wonderful husband and father! I'm truly in shock! We will be at a wedding in Austin on Saturday and are really sad to not be at his Memorial Service! Rich always made me laugh about my obnoxious floral ski coat and I think of him every time I wear it --- and I just wore it skiing with the Armstrongs in Breckenridge! Rich was always so happy and funny and generous. Greg was trying to set the basketball hoop in our driveway late one night and ran out of concrete and guess who gave us a bag from his garage at like 11:30 p.m.? Rich! I totally know the Lord has our days numbered since before the foundations of the earth were formed, so I pray peace over your family and trust that Jesus Christ will fill his void in your life. We love you! Greg and Jonica Cason

Rich was such a kind, sweet, funny loving husband, father and friend. My girls and I are forever grateful for the dance and karaoke parties held at the Orlich household with Rich as the master host. My deepest sorrow and prayers for Carol, Annie, Emily, Drew and family during this terribly tragic time. Love you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Rich 20 years ago when he was at Qwest and purchased services from him while at GTT. We later re-connected at Hurricane Electric and I always enjoyed my interactions with Rich. He was an easy going teammate and I always enjoyed our conversations. He was definitely one of the good guys and will be sorely missed.
