Richard's obituary

Mr. Richard William “Rich” Morris, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020.  

He was born January 11, 1947 in Indianapolis to the late Lewis and Shirley (McClain) Morris.

Richard was a loving, devoted husband to Bette Marie (Hayworth) Morris for 37 years and a wonderful stepfather and grandfather to her family until his passing.

He married second wife Rowena Osborne on September 21, 2019.

Rich is survived by wife Rowena; children Lance Williams and Laren Williams; grandchildren Stefanie Wiseman, Dana Lollar-Lee (Chastity), Alana Spessard, Aarik and Aramis Williams, and Sean Brazzale; great grandson Logan; and nephew Joe (Rachel) Morris.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife Bette; children Linaye Lollar and Lane Williams; brother Danny Morris, and sister Patty J. Morris.

Raised on the southside of Indianapolis, Rich was a graduate of Southport High School. Following high school, Rich served his country in the United States Navy, serving on the USS Randolph and USS Yorktown. Rich retired from Holland Trucking Company after 30 years of service and was a member of Teamsters Local 135.

Having had a passion for cars and trucks, Rich amassed a large collection of trucking memorabilia. He was a member of the T-bird Club of Indianapolis, and in recent years, he could usually be found at local car shows. He enjoyed traveling, especially long road trips, and was an avid collector of antiques.
