Richard Langley Michaels, age 75, died in his home in Seminole, Florida on September 2, 2018. He was a graduate of Sharon High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Communications from Boston University, and a Graduate Certificate in Nutritional Education from the University of Massachusetts. He worked in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, most recently as President and CEO of Armme Medical Technologies. Mr. Michaels was particularly proud of the time he spent as a nutritionist at Nova Southeastern University, counseling low-income and AIDS/HIV patients. It is at Nova that he met his loving wife, Carole.
Mr. Michaels enjoyed cooking, pickup pond-hockey games, classic rock, and lavishing affection on his family and pets. He is survived by his wife, Carole, his sons David (Amy) and Daniel (Kasia), his daughters Leslie (Anthony) and Lelia (Rich), and his six grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elizabeth.
Richard will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and concern for others. No funeral services will be held as it was Richard’s wish that his estate be used for others instead of himself. Richard’s Facebook page will remain open and all are welcome to post memories and final words to him there.
