In Loving Memory of Richard “Richie” McNish.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Richard “Richie” who departed this life on April 29, 2025, at the age of 56. Richie was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend whose vibrant spirit, kind heart, and unforgettable laugh touched the lives of all who knew him.

Born on February 9, 1969. Richie grew up in Durham, North Carolina and was known for his warm soul, quick wit, and unwavering loyalty to family. He had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved—and he never met a stranger he couldn’t make smile. Whether it was through his stories, music, or presence at every family gathering, Richie brought joy wherever he went.

Richie’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a proud uncle who poured love and encouragement into his nieces and nephews, always showing up with open arms and a full heart. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and resilience.

A celebration of Richie’s life will be held on May 7, 2025 at R.M Ferguson Funeral Service. All are welcome to attend and honor the memory of a man whose light will forever shine in our hearts.
