It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the loss of Richard "Dickey" McGuigan, who departed from us on October 3, 2021. Born on June 13, 1947.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, James and Lucille McGuigan, and his brothers, Jim McGuigan and Bill McGuigan. He is survived by his cousin Deborah Reuling and other family members.

Richard was quick to make friends, and in his later years was very active in the Diamond State VFW Post in Wilmington, DE. His time as an engineer with the railroad provided him with a sense of accomplishment, as well as his art. 

Above all else, Richard was a patriot. His service in Vietnam, recognized by numerous decorations, is a testament to his bravery and commitment to his country. Despite the difficult path his life took following his service and subsequent VA disability, Richard carried on as best as he was able.  

May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his family.
