My deepest condolences to Rich's family & friends! Rich & I shared a special friendship back in the day :) He should have won an award for the being the biggest flirt. In our younger years he made working @ Publix together a blast. We reconnected some years back & I'll always cherish our friendship & good memories. My heart is truly saddened for his passing & not knowing about situation towards the end. Rich, you will always be a special part of my heart...till we meet again!

Rich was a very sweet, kind and honest person. I will never forget how much he helped me when I just started working on my first project. Through his patience and kindness, he helped me to grow and gain so much confidence in my career. He was always so pleasant and just a nice person to talk to.
He didn't have to be helpful, go the extra mile or be kind and patient, but he chose to be and that's what made Rich such a wonderful person. He's truly impacted my life by his kindness and I'm grateful for it. I am honored to have had the privilege of working with him. Rest well Rich, you have left your mark on so many hearts at NGC.

Rich was one of the first guys I met after starting on COMSA and was willing to help with any concern anyone have if it meant helping someone out. Many times I can distinctly remember him going specifically out of his way if it meant helping me and moving the ball forward for the team.
I remember working with him on a big effort to move a lot of equipment as well, always in good spirits and putting others first.
He was such a great co-worker and friend, and will certainly be missed. Prayers go out to his mother, extended family, and friends for comfort and peace in a time like this

Marty and family,
I was shocked to read of Richard’s passing. I have kept him in my prayers and was hoping to get to see you both again. I regret letting time pass without calling. You have my most heartfelt sympathy. I am so very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Rich was the first person I met when I joined COMSA Lab Ops in 2017.
Rich went above and beyond making me welcome to the team and helped with every ask I made of him as I transitioned into my new job.
I soon learned that I wasn’t special, this was just Rich being Rich. I’m sure anyone on COMSA that knew Rich could tell a similar story.
Other things I learned about Rich during the next few years we would work together was his unmatched work ethic, dedication, and loyalty.
Rich lead the effort to migrate COMSA Labs from Bldg. 226 to Bldg. 587 in May of 2022. I’m still amazed to this day that we did this in 5 days with no breakage or hardware issues.
This is a testament to how Rich could take on challenging tasks and make them look easy.
