Richard's obituary

Richard Lowder Sr., born January 1, 1952, passed away on September 25, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Brandi, and his cherished grandchildren: Megan, Amanda, Jamie, Katie, Ryan, and Madison, and his great-children, Rylan, Sophia, Peyton, Lila, Braxton, Ellie, and Chloe. He is also survived by his mother, Nadine,  sister, Brenda, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, and his son, Richard Lowder Jr.

Richard was a free spirit. He was a restless soul who could never stay still for long. He carried the grit of a cowboy and the soul of a nomad, always chasing the next horizon. For him, life was meant to be lived in motion, always ready to set out on the open road with the wind at his back.

Those who knew him will remember his independence, his stubborn strength, and his deep love for family, even when expressed in quiet ways. His spirit was untamed, and his legacy is one of movement, freedom, and authenticity.

Richard’s journey has ended, but his restless soul is finally at peace.

“Gone riding. If found, don’t call. He’s exactly where he wants to be.”
