Richard's obituary
Richard "Dick" Leach, age 70, of Port Saint Lucie passed away peacefully and comfortably on January 18, 2023 in the care of Treasure Coast Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Patty; son Evan; daughter Rebekah; daughter Rachel (son in law Matt); and two grandchildren Silas & Emerson. Richard grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl off State Rd. 84 with his adoptive parents Carl & Eleanor Leach. Richard and Patty married in November of 1981 and in 1982 started Shipwreck Furnishings. For the first couple years of marriage, they lived in a little trailer right behind the wood shop! Richard was an excellent furniture maker, collector of nautical antiques, water enthusiast, husband, dad, and "pop pop". He made a lot of friends throughout his journey of life and many of those friends were right by his side till the very end. He will be greatly missed by everyone lucky to have him in their life.
A celebration of life will be held at the Leach Residence (2021 SE Giffen Ave PSL, FL) on February 11th at 2:00pm.
