Richard James Kucera, born on June 30, 1944, in Oak Park, Illinois, is now at peace, leaving behind a lifetime of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary, his beloved daughters, Mayra and Ana, and his treasured grandchildren, Marley and Grayson. Richard is also survived by his son-in-laws, John (Mayra’s husband), and Kevin (Ana’s husband), who were like sons to him. He also leaves behind his sister, Carol, and nieces Cindy, Cathy, and Sarah, all of whom were dear to him.
Richard and Mary met in New York City in 1974, moved to Miami in 1976, and married on March 18, 1982, building a life filled with love and laughter. They recently celebrated 50 wonderful years together.
A passionate clothing manufacturer, Richard poured his heart into his work, inspiring everyone around him with his dedication and genuine kindness. Known for his humor and warmth, he was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His strength and resilience shone through, embodying his favorite motto, “Fall down 7 times, get up 8.”

His home was filled with carefully chosen pieces, each one telling a story and reflecting his deep appreciation for culture and beauty. He also loved music, textiles, fashion, and was a wonderful cook.
As a father, husband, brother, grandpa, uncle and friend, Richard was truly the best anyone could ask for. Rest in peace, Richard. You will be loved and missed every single day.
