It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Richard Ketner, who peacefully departed this life on July 16, 2025.

Despite the void left by his beloved wife, Daphne Ketner, who predeceased him late last year, Richard found strength and comfort in the love of his children. He is survived by his daughters, Lauren Ketner and Hollie Ketner, and his son Josh Ketner. Rick and Daphne’s love and strength will forever be a beacon of hope and resilience within their hearts.

Born in 1963, Richard lived a full and vibrant life, filled with humor, love, and a strong work ethic. Richard successfully completed his higher studies with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC, in 1985. His unyielding diligence and scholarly aptitude marked the start of a rewarding career as a Senior Project Manager in Audio Visuals. He was exceptionally proficient at his job, creating an environment of lightheartedness around him.

Richard Ketner wore many hats in his lifetime – he was a dedicated and loving father, a proficient professional, and an individual with a charming personality. His life and accomplishments stand as a testament to his indomitable spirit and will serve as an inspiring legacy for future generations.

The family would like to thank all those who have expressed their condolences in this sorrowful time. Please remember Richard for his love, wit, and humour that lightened our lives and continue to bring warmth to our hearts.
