Rev. Richard Harris, retired priest of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, passed away on May 1st, 2020. Harris was most recently a Catholic priest at the Assumption Church in North Bend, Washington. He was 70 years old.

Harris was born on Nov. 11, 1950, in Seattle and attended St. Marks Catholic School, in Seattle Washington. He graduated from the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary in Mundelein, Ill.

Harris was ordained to the priesthood on April 29, 1995 by Auxiliary Bishop Cletus Francis O'Donnell and celebrated his first solemn Mass at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Seattle on May 1 of the same year.

Harris served in many parishes before retiring in 2011.

Richard Harris is survived by his son and only living relative, Eli Harris.

Funeral arrangements are set for June 6th, 2020.
