Richard Edwin Grauman, 87 of Chesterfield Township, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Richard was born November 23, 1934 in Hamtramck, Michigan, the son of the late Edward and Isabell Grauman. In 1960 he married Carol Mayo and together they raised 3 children.

A milestone in Richard’s life was in 1974, when after searching for the truth, he and Carol were baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses, with the children to follow. He and Carol have been associated with the New Baltimore congregation since 1989.

Richard enjoyed playing as well as watching many sports, especially baseball. One of his favorite pasttimes was playing cards and games with family and friends. He was always a wonderful example of sportsmanship, and his generosity was obvious to any he could reach out to. Richard will be remembered for being a “father” and “grandaddy” to many in the congregation .

He is survived by one son Michael (wife Christine) Grauman, one daughter Denise (husband Daniel) Rotarius; three grandchildren, Donna (husband Alex) Tavoularis, Adrian (wife Tiffany) McFadden, and Katrianna Rotarius; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas Tavoularis, Matthew Tavoularis, Fiona Tavoularis, Mason McFadden, Maxwell McFadden and Charlotte Tavoularis. He is predeceased by his wife of 61 years, and by one son, Daniel Grauman.

A Memorial discourse will be held by Zoom videoconference on April 9, 2022 @ 3:00 p.m. Visitation of family and friends will begin @ 2:00 p.m.
