Although I’d never met Rick in person, his memory and spirit are timeless with the love shared by my dear friend Netty.

Rick was a happy guy who helped as a steward to his fellow Purolator people. He will be missed. Rest now brother. Bev he always had good to say about you. Condolences to you and your family, friends and Purolator brothers and sisters, of which I am one. 😢😢❤️❤️

I met Rick in 1996 when I became best friends with his daughter Chrissy. I was "that friend" lol. Over the years I think Rick realized that even though I started out as "that friend" that I love Chrissy immensely and would be by her side through all the good and bad times so he accepted he wasn't getting rid of me lol ... Rick always had such a great sense of humour, his love for his children and grandchildren was off the charts and something I will always remember. Most people in this world unfortunately don't share the ability to love like him! He would always make you laugh. He will greatly be missed. Rest in Paradise Rick ❤️

Truly a Man who openly displayed his loyalty and dedication to Family and Friends, Rick set a template which will be tough to match. I consider myself a very lucky man to have called Rick and Bev my friends. Even though, after time, we eventually all went our seperate ways, every time I visited with Swamp, it was as if we never skipped a day. I'll miss the jokes, the Rum and that contagious laugh. Rest in Peace, Rick, you fought the good fight and deserve the Peace. My condolences to Bev and the Fyvie Family.

I sent this message to Rick just before he died but he didn’t get to see it
I don't really have any words Rick, you are my favorite big cousin and when I think of all your boisterous shenanigans I always smile. I'll be putting random items in other people's shopping carts, singing and dancing to the Barenaked Ladies and pouring a cold one for you here. But more than that I've seen how hard you love on your people in this life and I'll be taking a page from your book on how I love my tribe - and the tribe we share - for the rest of my days. I love you and I'll be here for your girls, your grandkids and your Bev. Continued prayers and love and all that I got for you are being sent your way. ❤️
