Great Guy and Friend who will always be remembered and missed. So many Great Memories. The Best memory was a trip We took to Reno Nevada in 1995. For three days We were up all night night relaxing , gambling and drinking beer in the Biggest Little City in the World. Reno.  We were gambling  at Harolds Club, The Nevada Club, Fitzgeralds and The Nugget. Old Reno  mom and pop casinos .  Gambling was good. Everything was very inexpensive (all those places are gone and have been for years). During the days we visited Virginia City and Lake Tahoe. Virginia City was once an Old West Boomtown and Wild Silver and gold town. We drank at two old Saloons dating back to the 1800's  The Bucket of Blood and The Silver Dollar.  Virginia City is a town full of history.  It is the setting for the famous TV show Bonanza ( in several episodes the Cartwrights are drinking in the Bucket of Blood and the Silver Dollar).  We also took a tour of a old Cole mine from the 1800s. We also drove around Beautiful Lake Tahoe.  That trip was so fun.  Many times I would see Rich and We talked about that trip.  Reno was Las Vegas before Las Vegas became Sin City. .  The Harolds Club (opened up in the thirties)  and the Nevada Club(forties) kept their early charm.  I saw Rich a few days before He passed and We talked about that trip.  We both agreed We probably would not enjoy Las Vegas and the Old Reno is long gone. ( If You get on you tube and type in nuns in moonlight casino that shows what Reno looked when We were there). I showed that to Rich and it brought back memories.  It was from the Movie Sister Act.    

Rich was a good man. I have not seen him in several years but I don't doubt he would enbrace me if we had met. He was taken to soon, RIP my friend.

So sorry to hear of Richards passing. When he dated my sister Julie he was always so nice and helpful to my mother. He also took great care of my sister.  May they be together again........

Our condolences to friends and family. We met Rich through the American Legion Family and became friends. We will miss ya buddy! Tony & Tina.

I met Rich and his family when I was in grade school he only lived a block away, his dad was my boy scout leader his sister used to cut my hair, he was a good family friend , and was kindest man you ever met ❤️  going to miss you Rich 😔 

Always called him uncle Rich because he always looked so much older than the rest of us. We had such good times going to the race track/golfing/the bar…. 

 Some of my earliest memories always included my Uncle Rich. He was more than just an uncle to me. He was a godfather, the person who spoiled me on birthdays and holidays, a cheerleader in sports and drama productions, a family game partner, a partner in crime, a drinking buddy, and the person I gravitated to the most when going to family events. 

Since Rich’s birthday was 9/5 and mine is 9/6 we made it a little game every year to make sure and call each other on our birthdays.  I would call him(earlier in the day, the better) and tell him Happy Birthday and we would chat, and then after the I love you’s he would always end the call with, “Talk to ya tomorrow for your birthday call young man”  it didn’t hit me until now how much I’m going to miss getting that call.

I was very lucky to have someone like Uncle Rich in my life. He taught me simple things like: don’t sweat the small stuff, or you don’t always have to be so serious about everything. He taught me to try and have fun around people, and that no matter how much they may anger you at times, your family will always be there, and you will always love your family. 

I’ll forever miss you, Uncle Rich.
