Rich was a good neighbor and friend for 40 years. I spent most 4th of July's at his house celebrating his daughter's birthday. He was a conservator of Lake Sinissippi and beleived strongly in human rights and diversity. He is not gone until he is forgotten. Peace.

To Nicole and Andy, please know how sorry I am for your loss. I have many memories of time with Richard. One of the greatest was the annual trip to Lake of the Woods in Canada. He organized the first trip in the early 70’s (?). Houseboats pulling fishing boats to the opening week of Walleye season. Beyond the challenge of organizing at least four people and preparing the motley crew for crossing the border, it was about comraderie , drinking beer and fishing, fishing fishing. I survived the first 2 or 3 or what became a great tradition all orchestrated by Richard. I attached a photo of “two happy guys”.
Over 50 ish years of friendship. Wow. A lot of memories. We built and installed plexiglass, sound synchronized, neon lit dance floors; had children born pretty close in time; partied on Sinnissippi; water skied; snow skied; cut down trees; split wood; summer water skiing,; winter cross country skiing; fish fry’s; Packer games; Brewer Games and more Richard was best man for me in one marriage. It was 1980 , at Jefferson County Courthouse. We kept in touch as much as possible over many years. I am sure we will continue to do so ; Friendship doesn’t die.
