Richard J. Farrell, 79, of Egg Harbor City, NJ, passed away on September 3, 2023. He was born on September 12, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA. Richard was a loving husband, stepfather, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Richard had a good sense of humor and a big heart. He loved his late wife, Miriam Farrell, dearly and her absence was deeply felt in his life. Richard found joy in spending time on the computer, exploring the digital world and staying connected with loved ones. He cherished family get-togethers and parties, where he could share laughter and create lasting memories with his dear ones. Richard's face would light up with joy whenever he was in the presence of his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Pop-Pop Rich."

Richard is survived by his stepchildren, Ray Carty (Maureen), Janice Henhaffer (Dale), and Kelly Kassay. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Allison, Jack, Alex, Keith, Daina, Joey, Crystal, Shannon, Brandi and 15 great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Farrell, and stepsons Joseph Carty and Rick Carty.

In the words of his stepdaughter Kelly, "I appreciate Rich being my dad for so long. He was worried when Mom died that he would lose us as family, but no matter what...we will always be family." We will love him forever.

In accordance with Richard's wishes, a private ceremony with family will be held to honor his memory.

May Richard J. Farrell's soul find eternal peace, and may his loved ones find solace and comfort in the memories they shared with him.
