Richard (Rick) Earl Lewis Jr.

July 19, 1964 – July 18, 2025

Richard "Rick" Earl Lewis Jr., age 60, of East Bethel, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025—just one day before his 61st birthday.

Rick was born on July 19, 1964, in Watertown, Minnesota. He spent much of his life on the road as a dedicated over-the-road (OTR) trucker and mechanic, both careers that suited his independent spirit and strong work ethic. Whether hauling freight across the country or sharing stories from the road to helping his family/friends with car troubles, Rick took pride in his work and the miles he traveled.

He was a proud father to three children—Kyle, Cortney, and Chelsey(Rodney)—and a loving grandfather to Mackenzie, Raelynn, Roman, and Chaitan.

Survived by his father Richard, and sisters Anne and Kimberly.

His family meant everything to him, and he found great joy in watching his grandchildren grow.

Rick was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Lewis, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership. Also by his Mother Janet. 

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his resilience, and his deep commitment to his family. Though he may be gone from this world, the legacy of his love and dedication lives on in those who knew and loved him.

A service will be held to honor Rick’s life, on October 18th 2025 from 12pm-5pm 18411 Vermillion St NE, East Bethel MN 55092. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to hug your loved ones and share a story—just as Rick would have appreciated.
