Richard Joseph Downs, 72, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA after a period of failing health. He was the son of George and Helen (McIsaac) Downs, born in Boston MA, February 10, 1948.

Richard entered Perkins School for the Blind, Watertown, MA in September of 1953. From the very beginning he was an active person. He started with a four-year hitch as a …
