Rick was born in Queens, New York to Nuncio (Chic) DiFranco and Alice Sheridan. Brother of Edward DiFranco (Mexico), Donnetta DiFranco (West Palm Beach), Mathew DiFranco (deceased), Christopher DiFranco (deceased), Frank DiFranco (deceased). Husband of Linda (Halford) DiFranco (Miami) for 55 years. Rick and Linda met in 1965 in art class at North Miami Senior High, fell in love and were married in 1968.

Father of Antonio DiFranco (Alachua) wife Kristen, Luigi DiFranco (Alachua), and TinaHasko (Gainesville) husband Jason. Grandfather of Ellie DiFranco, Dominic DiFranco, Hanna DiFranco, Avery Hasko, Jackson Hasko, and Allyson DiFranco.

Rick was a talented carpenter and builder for 30 years in Miami, Florida, 3 years in the U.S. Air Force and 3 years in Gainesville, Florida before he retired because of his illness. With the help of his two sons, Tony and Lu, he built his house in Alachua, Florida on a 5 acre tree filled lot. He enjoyed joking with everyone! He was a kind man and loved his wife, kids and grandkids more than anything. He will be missed by many friends and his loving family members.
