Richard Henry Dempsey, affectionately known as “Dempsey,” passed away in Middleton, Wisconsin on September 8, 2025, at age 76. He was surrounded by his loving family: Jennifer (wife), Grendel V and Mathew IV (Irish Wolfhounds), and Busby II (Scottish Deerhound). Richard was a brilliant, kind, creative, loyal, and humorous person who had a wholehearted zest for travel, adventure, learning, teaching, and people.
