Richard Paul Deal Jr., 78, of Thornton, CO, passed away on June 26, 2022 after a battle with cancer.

Rick was born on March 6, 1944 to Richard Paul Deal Sr. & Katherine Stenberg Deal in Elkhart, Indiana. Rick moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in ______, where he met Isabel (Belle) Baros.  They wed in 1964, going on to have three sons, Richard III, Michael, & Jonathan.

Rick spent his career in finance and business, serving as controller for several companies, most notably for Big A Auto Parts.  He was very active in the community, coaching youth basketball for 35 years, and volunteering at church. 

He was devoted to his family and was always there for any member that needed his help, advice, wisdom, and mostly his humor.  Anyone who knew him said he had the biggest heart of anyone, a fact he continued to prove through his last days.  

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Belle Deal; sons Rick III, Michael, & Jon; grandsons Tony, Jeremy, Thaddeus, & Caleb, granddaughter Devon; and great grandchildren AJ and Avaa.  Rick was predeceased in death by his parents.

To celebrate Rick, there will be a mass on July 11 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 9731 Wigham St, Thornton, Colorado.  A rosary reading will precede at 10:30.   Reception to follow after the mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Children's Hospital of Denver.
