Dave's obituary
What a gift to have known Dave.
His laugh, brilliant. You feel it in your bones, you hear it in your soul, your heart lights up, questions melt away, pure joy.
His dancing, you see it in your minds eye, even with him on the other side of the veil, and you want to dance.
His uncanny ability to create and loudly sing silly songs.
His inquisitive, curious , always questioning and pondering, “how might this be approached differently?”
Dave and I loved each other well.
He loved our kids well. Bethany (Matt and Payton) Will, Nate. He adored their passions, pursuits; always curious about what each of them might be learning and exploring. His heart open to being their Dad, Daddio, Diva Dev. He cherished his time with his granddaughter, holding her close, making up silly songs, singing the Hokey Pokey, whispering sweet messages.
He loved others well. His friends, colleagues, neighbors, community.
His passion, for almost anything, except cleaning house. His adoration of task efficiency: slack channels, asana, constantly asking, “how can this be more efficient?”
His zest for travel, exploring the world - always up for an adventure, a flight, how many miles did this man travel in his 60 years?
His entrepreneurial spirit, heart, integrity and curiosity.
“How can we come alongside more people to improve their lives: economically, physically? Impact their families and generations to come." His quest for a more equitable world.
His tenacity. His push to make things happen. To not giving in or giving up.
We deeply miss this boisterous, smart, articulate, humor filled, soul filled man.
