Richard's obituary
Richard Anthony Czubernat, 75, passed away on December 18, 2024. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Richard lived a life marked by service, hard work, and dedication to his passions.
In 1966, Richard volunteered for military service and honorably served in a U.S. Army military intelligence unit until 1969. Following his service, he built a successful career as a safety engineer, contributing to large construction projects in Pennsylvania and Illinois. Later in life, Richard pursued entrepreneurial ventures, owning a hotel in Venice, Florida, and a restaurant in The Villages, Florida.
An avid golfer and devoted Chicago Cubs fan, Richard found joy both on the golf course and cheering for his favorite team. His love for life and determination left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
Richard is survived by his son Stan, daughter in law Tiffany, his brother William, his sisters Maryann and Suzzana, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley & Anne, his brother James and his beloved daughter Leslie Etta Czubernat.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11:00am at Oak Glen Lutheran Cemetery 2280 Indiana Ave, Lansing, Illinois 60438. Richard will be laid to rest beside his daughter Leslie.

A luncheon will be held following the cemetery service at Gatto's Restaurant: 8005 W. 183rd Street in Tinley Park Illinois at noon.
