Richard's obituary

Richard Joseph Cochran, 66, of Anderson, CA, passed away on July 10th, 2021, at his home surrounded by loving family.

He was born in Beaver Falls, PA, on October 18th, 1954, son of the late John Cochran and Richard & Joy McCombs.

He is survived by his partner in life Cindy Gould, his children, Michelle Kendall & husband Charlie, Melissa Mannel & husband Justin, and Jack Reynolds & girlfriend Stevi, his stepchildren, Lorraine Triggs, James Onesto, Shauna Whitley, Charlie Whitley & Jasmine Whitley and his grandchildren, Kodi Land, Karli Land, Maddison Onesto, Leighla Spoon, Christian Whitley, Eli Triggs, Landry Buckman, Eliana Triggs, Avery Whitley, Koleton Whitley, Harper Johnson & Jaxon Johnson. He is also survived by his three siblings, Marjorie Johnson & husband Larry, Clifford Cochran & wife Dana and Karen Robbins & husband John, his numerous nieces and nephews, April Barnhart & husband Mark Barnhart, Shawn Cochran, Jennifer Baskin & husband Matthew, Stephanie McCarthy, Christopher Johnson and Emily Robbins, great-nieces and great-nephews, Adam Barnhart, Chelsea Jackson & husband Kolby, Taylor Barnhart, Logan Alto, Zoe McCarthy, Berlin Magers, Jaxson Baskin, Ben McCarthy, Liam Magers and one very special Great-Great niece Leslie Mae Jackson.

Richard grew up in Eureka, CA and graduated from Eureka Senior High School in 1973, he then went on to serve 3 years in the United States Air Force as a diesel mechanic. For many years after the Air Force, he worked as a diesel mechanic for Joe Costa Trucking & Alto Brothers Trucking and later went on to be his own boss with Cochran Trucking and drove truck for himself.

He was a very skilled welder and enjoyed rebuilding cars and trucks. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and when he could he spent time with family and friends. Per Richards request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Team Rubicon - teamrubiconusa.org to help give back to other veterans.
