Background
Richard Lebron Brandon, 75, of Ringgold, Georgia entered fully into the presence of his Savior on Friday, August 20, 2021. He was a beloved husband, father, “Papa”, and “Popi”, as well as the pastor of Calvary Way Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia. Lebron preached the Word faithfully for more than forty years and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Etta Brandon, brothers - Nathan Brandon and Garland Brandon, sisters - Betty Brandon, Dot Brandon, and Mary Jacobs, and great grandson, Braxton. He was survived by his loving wife of forty-four years, Brenda Brandon, three children - Casey (Victoria) Brandon, Tami (Mark) Bennett, and Brent Lee, siblings - Teresa (Jim) Horner, Jimmy Brandon, Steve (Shirley) Brandon, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday August 23, 2021 from 5-8 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe and the Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Parkway Baptist at 3 PM with Brother David Winton presiding. Graveside service to follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park with Brother Steve Brandon speaking. Per the family’s request, masks and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to help offset medical expenses.
