Richard's obituary

Richard H. Bialoglowy, 67, of Litchfield, Connecticut passed away on April 8, 2024 of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. Richard was born to the late Agnes and Henry Bialoglowy, on October 17, 1956, in Bridgeport, Connecticut and lived in Litchfield Connecticut from 1961 to present. Graduating from Oliver Wolcott Technical High School in 1974, Richard was a Vietnam War veteran and served as a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserves for 13 years. Richard worked in automotive parts for 27 years, but he enjoyed spending his free time mountain biking, repairing computers and sharing these passions with those around him. He always had a very strong soul. There was never a question of his love for his wife, his girls, family and friends. Richard always faced adversity head on and bravely overcame obstacles such as being legally blind and fighting through a life altering work related injury for years.

Richard held many titles in his life, but his favorite roles were those he held as a dedicated family man. Richard is survived by his wife Carrie (Shropshire) and three children, Shannon Christensen, Jessica (Bialoglowy) Wagner and Megan Bialoglowy, son-in-law Jeff Christensen, along with his grandchildren Riley, Dylan, Benjamin and Jack. He was predeceased by his brother, Philip Bialoglowy and is also survived by his brother, David Bialoglowy. A memorial service will be held, details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 27 or the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation.
