Richard "Dick" Golden  Behling

Richard Behling , age 94 of Harrisburg , N.C.  transitioned  to his Heavenly Home on Saturday February 1st , 2025.

A celebration of life will be held at  New Grace Baptist Church , 3462 NC Hwy 73, Iron Station N.C. 28080 on Sunday February 16, 2025. 

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church  with" The Celebration of Life" starting at 3:00 p.m.

Mr. Behling was born in Mecklenburg County 4-05-1931 to the late Albert Lathrop Behling and Thelma Besser Behling.

He  was the owner/operator  of Behling  Automotive.   He served in the Air Force from 1951- 1955.  He was a member at St. Andrew Masonic Lodge, a 32nd  degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rites. In later  years he enjoyed being a member of The Shriners Band.  His earlier years were spent  with NASCAR and his love for racing.   He has been an active member of the Denver AA group, receiving  his 39 year sobriety chip last year  He has played a inspirational role in many lives. 

He is survived by his children,  13 grandchildren and numerous great grand-children. 

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.
