Dick's obituary
He married June Pond in 1948 and they had three children together. He married Linda Johnson in 1970 and they had two children. He married Dreama Blauvelt in 1989. Dreama had three children who were very close to Dick.
Dick loved playing golf, boating, water skiing, and was a skilled Bridge player.
Dick and Dreama moved to an age restricted community in Ocala, Florida when he retired from James River Corporation. In retirement, Dick was committed to living his life modestly, and he took great joy in providing for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dick had a huge heart and gave generously to many charities. For more than twenty years after retiring, he volunteered every Friday for Interfaith Emergency Services in Ocala.
He thoroughly enjoyed his leisure years. In fact, when asked how he was doing, his response was always that he was “working very hard at playing”. Family members who visited their home in Ocala always enjoyed Dick’s warm easy-going nature, and his skills as a tour guide.
Dick was preceded in death by his first wife June; his parents Joseph and Ragna, his brothers David Price and Chuck Price and his wife Peg, and sister Edith and her husband Bob, brother-in-law Dexter Defnet, and son-in-laws Mike McMahon and Dale Pope.
He is survived by his wife Linda and his wife Dreama; his brothers Michael (Virginia) Price and Joseph (Laura) Price, and his sister Mary Defnet. He is also survived by his five children, Kathy McMahon, Judy (Mike) Wolf and Tom (Debbie) Price, Marit (Mark) Spisany, and Jason (Heather) Price; grandchildren Kris (Dick) Reesman, Jeff (Becky) McMahon, John (Jessica) McMahon, Scott Holland, Jessica (Joe) Coffey, Marty Price, and Kendra (James) Coughlin, Madeline (Mitchelle) Dieudonne, Sydney Price, Daniel Price, Alena Price, Emily Price, Isaiah Price, Alex (Pat) Egan, and Blake (Justin) Deuel and great grandchildren, Michaela Haig, Zachary Haig, Ryan Reesman, Isabelle Mc Mahon, Michael McMahon, Jack McMahon, Matt McMahon, Nate McMahon, James Coughlin, Emily Coffey, and great grandson Harrison Egan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A family celebration of Dick’s life will be held at a later date.
