Richard's obituary
This January 20, 2024, Richard Allen Griffin "Rickey" took his final breath, surrounded by his loved ones. The sun rose, and the world welcomed Rickey on November 28, 1965. Rickey lived a full and warm life, filled with joy and laughter. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Ricky grew up in Chicago on South Side dorchester 75th Street, where he lived with his mother and father and his siblings. Everyone who knew Rickey knew how funny, full of light, and charismatic he was, and these traits of his were obvious to all. Ricky would do anything for his children, and he made the very best of what was given to him, whether it be a little or a lot. He made everyone who knew him laugh, cry, and clap at all the stories he shared and wisdom he gave. He was a man who always wanted to keep the peace and would never end a phone call with a "bye" but a "see you later" and he would call, just to say I love you. His distinctive smile and laugh will surley be missed.
Ricky is predeceased by, Arthur Griffin (Son), Nathaniel Griffin (Brother), Jeannie Griffin (Sister), David Griffin (Brother), Pamala Griffin (Sister), June Griffin (Sister), James Griffin (Brother).
