Al's obituary
Albert‘s life was guided by creativity, passion, and the conviction to always give his best. He shared 57+ cherished years with his beloved wife, Karen, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and family. He will forever be remembered by his children: Anna Marie Fryer (Jeff), Richard A Cruz (Tiffany), Lisa Michelle Kohl (Tony), and his treasured grandchildren - Nicholas Arttus Jr, Amber Cruz, Alexis Cruz, Richie Cruz III, Haley Kohl, Dane Kohl, and Zoey Kohl. He is also remembered by his sister, Rose Anne Eggeling (Helmuth).
A gifted artist and dedicated educator. Albert retired after many fulfilling years at Anderson Junior High. He inspired countless students through his art and kind spirit to express themselves and see beauty in the world around them as he did. Beyond the classroom, he found great joy in coaching, Little League Baseball, and Youth basketball. He coached and taught through his motto: "Always do your best, Always play fair, and Never give up".
He found joy in cartooning, calligraphy, and traveling. Even greater joy in time spent talking with friends and family. His thoughtful nature, humor, and warmth were felt in the lives of those who knew him.
Albert's spirit will live on through the love he shared, the art he created, and the life lessons he taught in everything he did. He will forever remain in the hearts of all, who are lucky enough to know him, and who loved him.
