My husband, Tony, and I send our condolences to Carol, and Tyler and Alex, and Rachel and Kinley on their loss. We didn't get to meet Richard but heard so much about him from Tyler, and our daughter, Philippa. In particular we heard what good company he was, and so generous too. Thinking of the family today and sending love. Amanda

What sad news we’ve just received of Richard’s passing. Living close by to Richard, Carol, Alex, and Tyler for ten important “family” years was so enjoyable in every way and permanently imprinted in our collective memories. With young children the same ages, attending the same school, and sharing, too, Shenorock membership and a love of tennis, there were countless hours of fun and conversation together. Richard was never unprepared to give his opinion on just about any topic and one invariably learned something new. Always impeccably dressed, he was a smart, fun, caring friend, whom we’ve missed since moving away years ago and whose passing we mourn. Love to Carol, Alex and Tyler.

Carol, so profoundly sorry for your loss. I am so thankful that our paths crossed nearly 20 years ago and continued through the years. Our time together at Total Body was very special to me. We had a blast every day. He was so intelligent, interesting, FUNNY and I feel so very sad for all of you, especially all of his beautiful grandbabies he so regularly bragged about. He was so proud of all of them. We could all listen to his stories all day. He accepted every challenge I gave him with gusto. May he rest in peace and may you always find comfort in the wonderful memories of your time together traveling, spending visits with the kids and each other. Love, Ali

I will always remember Richard in his tennis whites, wearing driving gloves, or with a camera around his neck. The pictures he took of our wedding in 2015 are some of the best we have. He had a great eye and a great heart. He will be very missed. I’m so grateful for the cherished memories I have, and our Daufuskie days and early days in CT. We love you, uncle Richard. Rest in peace. -Meredith
