Richard's obituary

Richard Nelson, 65, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. He was born in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, and resided in Levittown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1979, where he played football for the Falcons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen Nelson; his parents, Maria and James Nelson; his brother, James Nelson; and his brother-in-law, Norman Kerner.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara Nelson; his son, Dan Nelson (Holly); his sister, Irene Kerner; his sister-in-law, Lori Nelson; his grandsons, Alexander, Elijah, Daniel, Andrew, and Aaron, forever their cherished and fun-loving “Pap-Shit”.

Richard began his career at Atlantic Concrete and later worked for Waste Management as a heavy equipment operator. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and pride in his work, qualities he carried throughout his life.

Richard had a warm, generous spirit and a great sense of humor. He loved all sports, especially cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies. He enjoyed DJing oldies music, sharing songs that brought people together and created lasting memories.

He also loved fishing, hunting, metal detecting, rides on his Harley, and trying his luck at a slot machine. Relaxing with a cold beer surrounded by family and friends brought him joy and happiness.

In keeping with his wishes, join us for food, music, laughter, and raising a glass to Richard.
