Ricardo Ramon (Saldivar) Faber, also known as Pablo Saldivar, died October 1, 2021 as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic workplace accident in Ankeny, Iowa.
Ricardo was born on March 1, 2000 in Mason City, Iowa to Andrea Davis Durbin. He was raised by his Grandma Maria Faber and Grandpa Steve Faber with his Aunt Sara in Mason City. At the age of 11 he moved to Norwalk with Grandma, Uncle Charlie and Aunt Sarah, and their four children including his biological sister Maria, whom he grew a very close bond with. At the age of 12, Ricardo moved to Ankeny with his Grandma Maria where he remained, building life-long friendships which led him into the excavation, pipe laying industry.
Pablo loved to seek adventures. No matter what time of day it was he was always on the go. Some of his hobbies included fishing, bowling, skating, and working on cars. He enjoyed his work as a pipe layer and had fully embraced this as his career. He was always eager to learn and do the tasks needed to get the job done.
There was never a time of day that you could not call upon Pablo. He was always there for his work and friends and they were there for him. He spent his free time with friends, including girlfriend Selena Slack and her daughter Evelyn (Evy) both whom he adored. Pablo always had a quick sense of humor and loved making jokes back and forth with his friends.
Ricardo is survived by his mother; Andrea (Shawn) Durbin of St Louis, MO; his Grandpa Steve (Carol) Faber of Waterloo, IA; Uncle Charles (Sarah) Davis of Norwalk, IA, their children, Colton, Maria, Caleb, Christian; Aunt Sara (Mitchell) Gore of Olathe, KS, their children; Larkin and Asher; brother AJ Sullivan of Norwalk, and many other family members.
Pablo is also survived by many friends whom he considered family, and was preceded in death by his Grandmother Maria Faber in February 2020.
