Rhonda's obituary
In Loving Memory of Rhonda Winn
July 5, 1962 - July 19, 2025
Brazil, Indiana
With deep sadness and hearts full of love, we announce the passing of Rhonda Winn, age 63, of Brazil, Indiana, who left this world peacefully on July 19, 2025.
Rhonda was a devoted mother, sister, loving grandmother, compassionate nurse, early childhood educator, and loyal friend. She lived her life with kindness, strength, and a quiet unwavering love that touched everyone she met.
Rhonda accomplished a remarkable feat early in life, graduating from Sebring Christian Academy in Sebring, Florida, at the age of just 16. She began her journey as a preschool teacher before pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse.
She served as a nurse for nearly 20 years, offering not only medical care but also emotional comfort and dignity to everyone she encountered. Later in life, Rhonda returned to her passion for early childhood education. In her final working years before retirement, she served the community with compassion and wisdom as a Guardian ad Litem for the Department of Child Services in Brazil, Indiana. Her advocacy gave a voice to children and families in need, and her legacy continues through the lives she helped guide.
Rhonda's greatest joy, however, came from her family. She adored her grandchildren - Caleb, April,Kalea, and Daniele - and poured love and memories into every moment she spent with them.
She had a deep love for reading, especially the novels of Stephen King. She found adventure and mystery in the pages of his books and treasured the quiet moments spent with a story in hand.
Perhaps the most defining trait of Rhonda Winn was her generous spirit. She loved giving to others -whether it was lending a hand, sharing a thoughtful gift for no reason at all, or simply being there when someone needed support. She gave without expecting anything in return, simply because that's who she was.
She is survived by her beloved children Jesse, Jason, and Michelle; her siblings; Dennis, Donetta, & Donnie and her grandchildren Caleb, April, Kalea, and Daniele; and a wide circle of family, friends, and former coworkers whose lives she brightened.
Though her time with us feels far too short, Rhonda's love will echo through generations. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now resting in peace, surrounded by the eternal light of God's grace.
"God is within her, she will not fall." - Psalm 46:5
A private memorial service will be held by the family in honor of Rhonda's life and legacy. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. Written By: Kalea Deane
