Rhonda's obituary

Rhonda Lackey-Bishop, 77, passed

away peacefully on January 31,

2026, in Birmingham, Alabama.

Born on February 14, 1948, Rhonda dedicated

much of her life to her work and family. She

spent three decades as a property manager

before retiring ten years ago. Her commitment

and professionalism left a lasting impres-

sion on those she worked with throughout her

career.

Rhonda was a devoted mother to Marsha

(Todd) Gregory and Todd (Jean) Lackey. She

was also the proud grandmother of Andrew

Gregory, Jacob Gregory, Austin (Maddie)

Lackey, Madison Lackey, Cheyenne (Ian)

Wall, Campbell Lackey, and Carson Lackey.

Her legacy continues through her great-grand-

children Emilia and Shepherd Lackey.

She is lovingly remembered by her sisters

Gloria Crook, Beverly (Mike) Banjura, San-

dra Witecki, and Tammy Bishop. Rhonda also

leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-

nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish

her memory.

She was preceded in death by her son James

Lackey.

A private memorial service will be held for

family members to honor Rhonda’s life and

memory.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
