Rhonda's obituary
Rhonda Sue Hill, 57, of Shelbyville IN, lived a short time in Indianapolis IN and passed away at IU Methodist Hospital on November 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family who has given her so much love and care.
Rhonda was born on December 17, 1965 at Community East Hospital in Indianapolis to Janice Curry and Randall Isley. She graduated Shelbyville High School in 1984 and then attended Ivy Tech State College and IUPUC School of Nursing. Rhonda took great pride in her work as a pediatric nurse. She also wore other Nursing Hats as an ortho-neuro nurse, Mother Baby educator, high risk pregnancy case management, & ending her career as an expert at Anthem Medicare.
Rhonda loved to spend time with her amazing sons and family, travel, exploring new places, dragon boating, kayaking, diving, and joining friends for their music. You could find her volunteering for various charity activities, donating time and money to animal and children's needs, donating to food pantries, and as a CASA associate.
She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and Hopefully as a mostly kind person. Rhonda will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her unbelievable sons Anthony (Heather) Hill, Nathan (Jennifer) Hill and Devin "Rabbit" Curry, who was in her home for just a few years and in her heart forever; By her grandchildren (which are the best gift your children can give you, even if they don't realize it) - there is unbelievable love for Haley, Ivy, Rowan, and Elowyn. By her cherished Mother Janice (Charles "Sonny") Curry, and her father Randall (Kathy) Isley, brothers Randy (Arlene) Isley, Chuck (Robbin) Curry, Chad (Carrie) Curry, sister Patricia (David) Loy, and a ton of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded In Death by Brother Jeffrey E. Isley, Sister Kim Isley, and Step Father Charles Sonny Curry.
A party will be planned to celebrate this amazing person. There will be laughter, singing, making music, remembering and merriment. Per Rhonda’s request, no Balloon Release for environmental reasons. Date and Time determined by family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Indy Survivors Dragon Boat team, donate for a service dog, or Shelby Couty Cancer Association. Please plant a tree, or paint a rock in Rhonda’s memory.
