Rhonda Favata, born on April 8, 1957, peacefully passed away on July 2, 2023. Her vivacious spirit, boundless love, and enduring determination will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate to have been a part of her life.
Rhonda is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Favata, and their five precious daughters, Christy Powers, Amanda James, Cindi Holderbee, Tina Favata, and Anna Favata. She was a doting grandmother to Kobi and Tatum Holderbee, who will remember her fondly. Rhonda's legacy also lives on in her sisters, Linda Thornton, Deborah Burns, and Pamela Campbell, as well as her daughter, Dianne Conner.
Known for her love of life's simple pleasures, Rhonda had a taste for Carls Jr Western Bacon Cheeseburger with extra sauce, Coffee with hazelnut creamer, and caramel macchiato. Her love for music spanned across generations with artists like Tom Petty, Eagles, Nirvana, Sublime, the Fray, and old rock songs finding a special place in her heart.
Rhonda enjoyed various TV shows such as The Wall, the Chi, Antique Roadshow, Funniest Home Videos, and Lester Holt. She was also a movie enthusiast, with favorites like The Lion King, Fried Green Tomatoes, Hachi, Bridges over Madison County, Get Hard, and all Medea movies.
Her appreciation of art often drew her to nature-focused pieces, particularly those featuring flowers as the main subject. She took pleasure in Casino games, often engrossed in the thrill of the play. A fan of performances, The Lion King held a special place in her heart.
She sought relaxation through recreational activities like The Price is Right, The Wall, Let's Make a Deal, and casino games. Her favorite ways to exercise included tending to her garden and Koi pond. The exotic lands of Hawaii were Rhonda's preferred vacation spots while locally, she enjoyed visits to Mama Roja's, and Target.
A woman whose heart held an endless supply of love, Rhonda's primary cause was her family. She was described as loving, stubborn, fun-loving, caring, inquisitive, and soft-hearted. Rhonda's greatest lesson was her unfaltering belief in love, irrespective of circumstances or transgressions. Her most notable accomplishment being the loving matriarch of her family.
Rhonda leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and the relentless will to fight for one's loved ones. Her favorite colors, blue and yellow, were a reflection of her personality - bright, warm, and comforting. After a 16-year-long brave fight for life, Rhonda's absence will be deeply felt by every person whose life she touched. Her love, her kindness, her spirit will be dearly missed each day.
