Rhea May Hastings of Venice, Florida, passed away on June 2, 2023 at the age of 83 years. Rhea was born on May 14, 1940 in Beaver, Pennsylvania.

Rhea married Ronald Hastings on April 28, 1962 in Beaver, Pennsylvania. They were married for 61 years and had many adventures together. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, she enjoyed reading, sewing, shopping, and church activities. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Venice, Florida.

Rhea is survived by husband Ronald C. Hastings, son William (Bev) Hastings of Beaver Falls, PA, son Douglas Hastings of East Stroudsburg, PA, and daughter Rhonda Hastings Hutton (Todd) of Fulshear, TX, as well as 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertram and Dorothy Rollins, and her sister, Doris Jean Swartzlander.

A memorial service will be held on July 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 312 Miami Ave. W, Venice, FL. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
