Rexanna's obituary

Rosie McCoy, also known as Rexanna Rose McCoy, passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 63 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Rosie was born on August 2, 1960, in Bloomington, Indiana. She was an incredibly resilient and independent woman who lived her life to the fullest. Rosie was known for her unwavering loyalty to her loved ones and her ability to bring laughter to even the most solemn situations. She had a heart of gold, and her presence will be greatly missed.

Rosie is survived by her sisters, Jackie Hampton and Karen Johnson, and her children, Fatima Al-mazrui, Andrew Richard, Jamie Southern, James Michael Brown, Byron Johnson, Robert McCoy, Isaiah Tray McCoy, Stormy Al-mazrui, and Dakota Manion. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren: Samira Al-mazrui, Romi Mojica, Aviana Richard, Josiah Richard, Gianna Richard, James Southern, Landon Ball, Ava Johnson, Chloe Foltzer, Erica Foltzer, Juliana McCoy, Ellie McCoy, London Lavender, Zander Wright, Zayden Wright, and Zakyla Wright. Rosie was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Elliot, her sister Terry Willis, and her brother Butch Davidson.

Rosie's hobbies included country music, singing, and spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren. She found joy in these activities and cherished the moments shared with her family.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 20th, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home located at 203 East Temperance Street in Ellettsville, Indiana. Following the visitation, services and burial will take place.

Rosie's place of worship was the Knightridge Pentecostal Church, where she found solace and spiritual guidance.
